Directions to cemetery
"Located about 1.5 miles East of Weir on the north side
of FM Road 971 in a pasture at the junction of FM 971 and a narrow black top
road curving off to the north. From Georgetown take Business Highway 81
(Austin Avenue) north for almost a mile, north of the North San Gabriel River
Bridge, and turn right on FM 971, marked Weir and Granger for about 6 miles
to a point about 150 yards east of the Berry's Creek bridge."
On 1/5/2003 Joy Schultz sent the following corrections.
"Ms. Osborne, In doing some research on my familys property I ran across this web site on Williamson Countys cemeteries. I did find an error in the location of the cemetery located on my parents farm. The Weir family cemetery is located 1.5 miles west of Weir. (not east) The black top road referred to is CR 194. Thanks" She also included this link.
Additional Comment
"There appears to have been somewhere between 15 and 20
graves here but most have been mutilated, or made of soft limestone markers."
